The Collection of the Data on Dry-Season Farming Areas, Harvest, and Marketing in Kampong Cham Province and Kandal Province

​From 01 to 02 April 2016, H.E. Meas Ouen, Advisor of Tonle Sap Authority, led a team of technical officers to collect the data on dry-season farming areas, harvest and marketing for information compilation as part of agricultural crops information around Tonle Sap Lake in Batheay district, Kampong Cham Province and Ponhea Leu district, Kandal Province. The purpose of this study was to collect data on the dry-season farming areas, seeds, farming techniques, insects, disease, fertilizer, poison, water sources, analysis of soil Texture, soil samples testing, harvest and the current market of dry-season rice. In this study process, the team met with village-commune authorities, district officers, and district agricultural office, and to interview with farmers as well as to dig soil for soil texture checking, soil profile description and soil samples testing.​
