Training Course on the Preparation of the Monitoring and Evaluation systems Based on RBM Method

On the morning of April 04, 2016, in the auditorium of Tonle Sap Authority, H.E Hell Tony, Secretary General of Tonle Sap Authority, Representative of Minister of Water Resources and Meteorology and Chairman of Tonle Sap Authority, auspiciously opened the Training on the Preparation of the Monitoring and Evaluation System based on Result Based Management (Monitoring and Evaluation System Development basic on RBM). The training course lasted for 5 days from 04 to 08 April, 2016 and had the purposes to (i) strengthen the work effectiveness and efficiency in achieving objectives and expected results in the strategic plan, (ii) have the ability to create a communication tool that was specified about the roles, duties and responsibilities in the monitoring and evaluation system on the projects or various related programs, (iii) plan to collect, analyze and use the data with quality, (iv) develop ideas in the planning of the strategic plans and specific tools to support the basic decision-making, (v) to prepare an action plan for monitoring and evaluating in order to perform successfully in the organizations or institutions, and (vi) to be able to facilitate the stakeholders participated in the implementation of effective monitoring and evaluation work. At the end of the course, participants were expected to gain more knowledge on:
- Understanding the process of results-based management (RBM) and the establishment of a monitoring and evaluation framework;
- Knowing how to analyze a problem / project requirement, arrange project log frame, write the indicators based on SMART, create tools for data collection, analyze the data and write the report.
