Study Activities on the Strengthen the legal framework related to the protection of areas around Tonle Sap Lake in Banteay Meanchey Province
From 10 - 12 September 2015, the Department of Legislation and Extension, led by Lim Heng, Deputy Director, implemented the action plan to Study Activities on the Strengthen the legal framework related to the protection of natural resources of areas around Tonle Sap Lake in Banteay Meanchey Province to further participating in Investigate and evaluate the effectiveness of implementing relevant legal framework in protecting Tonle Sap area and relevant areas and other regulations in managing, conserving, and developing the natural resources and biodiversity in Tonle Sap lake area and its related areas with sustainability, which were located in Banteay Menchey Province. The implementation of this action plan was to learn about the publication, awareness, strengths and weakness, along with the challenges and efficiency in the implementation of the legal norms and regulations of the Royal Government on the natural resources protection by discussing with the relevant institutions, local authorities, fishing communities and people who depended on the natural resources.
