The Research Study and Basic Data Collection on the Solid Waste Generation in Floating Village, Siem Reap Province

On 14 to 16 September 2015, H.E Khov Meas, Deputy Secretary General of Tonle Sap Authorities (TSA), led the officials of TSA to conducted a research study and collect basic data on solid waste generation in Floating village, Kompong Khlang commune, Sutre Nikom district, Siem Reap province. The team met with commune chiefs,  commune council, village chiefs and the people who were living along the waterway and Floating villages by presenting the purpose of the research study focusing mainly on the impacts on the environment through environmental pollution via many factors, including the solid waste generated every day by people who were living along the waterway, river and floating villages around Tonle Sap lake, and this study also learnt about a variety of methods of waste disposal, waste-dumping, health, sanitation and so on.​
