Activities to Case Study on the Strengthening of the Implementation of the Relevant Legal Norms to the Protection of Natural Resources in Siem Reap Province
On 5th - 7th November 2015, the working group of the Department of Legislation and Extension, led by Mr. Yan Samrith, Director of the Department, implemented the Action Plan to strengthen the implementation of the legal norms relating to the protection of natural resources in the areas around Tonle Sap lake and the related areas in order to study about the effectiveness of the implementation of the legal norms and regulations stipulated in the management, conservation, and development of natural resources and biodiversity with sustainability. The implementation of this action plan learnt about the publication, awareness, strengths - weakness, along with the challenges and efficiency in the implementation of legal norms and regulations stipulated by the Royal Government on the work of natural resources protection by discussing with the relevant local authorities, fishing communities and people who relied upon natural resources in Siem Reap Province.
