Training Workshop on the River Basins Management and the Meeting on the Communication in Water Resource Management in Cambodia

Excellency Professor Lim Puy, Vice Chairman of Tonle Sap Authority, and the working group of the Steung Sen River  Integrated Water Resources Management Project of Tonle Sap Authority as well as the French specialist of French Water Agency and the French Office of the International Water, organized the meeting from July 3 to November 10, 2015 with the following goals:
1. Training for members of the Secretariat of the National Committee of the River Basin
Management, 13 people, on river basin management based on the experiments from the model project on Steung Sen River Basin Integrated Water Resource Management, which took place on 3 and 4 November 2015.
2. Discussion with the Secretariat of the National Committee of the River Basin Management on the organization of the directions in both administration and technical aspects of the Secretariat.
3. The meeting on the procedures and results of the project on water resources management  (i) 6 rivers by Japanese JICA by selecting Pusat River as the sample, (ii) Steung Sreng River by ADB and Steung Sen River by Tonle Sap Authority and France. The meeting discussed and exchanged the cooperation among the 3 projects to make a synthetic form that can be submitted to the National Committee on the River Basin Management on rivers management across the country.​
