The Study and Monitoring Activities on the Family-Size Fishing Yields Along the Main Rivers Around Tonle Sap Lake

On 20-21 November 2015, the Technical Working Group of the Department of Exploitation Control and Conservation, led by Mr. Sin Viseth, Director of the Department, went to Pursat, Sen, and Chinet River, to monitor the actual situation, to follow-up and further instruct the fishermen who have been chosen in the fishing yield follow-up action plan of the Tonle Sap Authority Secretariat, studied and monitored the family-size fishing yields along the main rivers around Tonle Sap Lake. For the first step, they monitored and logged in the Log-Book for over a month ago. The purpose of this mission was:
- to collect the Log-Books recorded for over a month
- to check and record the recorded Log-Book
- to review the general situation on the ground and environmental changes according to the selected location
- to complement the shortcoming that the fishermen had carried out so far
- and the team will make the sample directly with the fishermen.
