Steering Committee Meeting on the Implementation of the Climate Change and Water Governance Project in Cambodia

On 09 December 2015, at the Apsara Angkor Hotel in Siem Reap Province, H.E Hell Tony, Secretary General of Tonle Sap Authority and H.E Meas Oeun, Advisor of Tonle Sap Authority, attended the Steering Committee Meeting on the implementation of climate change and water governance in the Cambodia, organized by the Cambodia Development and Research Institute (CDRI) under the Climate Change and Water Governance Project in Cambodia with the supports from the International Development Research Center (IDRC) of Canada. Participants attending the meeting were from the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology, Ministry of Environment, Tonle Sap Authority, Institute of Technology of Cambodia, Royal University of Agriculture, Mekong Program on Water Environment and Resilience (M-POWER).
    
The purposes of the meeting are:
•  to discuss the results of the project and achievement as well as significant experiences from the research
•  to discuss with partners from relevant ministries and universities on the use of the results for the future
•  to inspire new agreement and cooperation in the future.    
The results obtained from the Steering Committee are:
• the new plan for Phase 2
• the shortcomings of the study of the resilience, vulnerability and adaptation to climate change
• translation of documents and images in Khmer (including Brochure)
• further cooperation with relevant institutions (Stockholm Environment Institute-Sweden)
•  capacity building: scholarship students must fulfil the graduation.​
