Monks and residents from the five floating villages under the spiritual care of Tib Ka Ream Pagoda (Pov Veuy Pagoda), alongside government task forces, are actively preparing to welcome the 2025 New Year under the high-level guidance of: His Excellency the Minister of Water Resources and Meteorology, Chairman of the Tonle Sap Authority, and Leader of the Government Working Group supporting Stung District.
About Peam Bang Commune Peam Bang is one of 13 communes in Stung District, Kampong Thom Province, situated in a remote geographic area within the Tonle Sap Lake’s core zone (Tonle Chhmar area) part of the Tonle Sap Biosphere Reserve. The commune consists of: 5 permanent floating villages, 614 families whose livelihoods directly depend on the lake’s natural resources, primarily fishing.
